The heritage of Minerva

The Information Network of Museums and Science and Technology Centers of the Community of Madrid is an initiative of the General Directorate of Universities and Research of the Department of Education and Employment, coordinated by madri+d Foundation. It is made up of museums, collections and science centers that hold valuable objects and examples of the region's scientific culture treasured throughout its history These institutions organize activities related to practically all branches of science and constitute a fundamental educational tool and offer quality cultural leisure for families and the general public.

• Publicize the activities, exhibitions, conferences and workshops carried out by the Centers and Museums incorporated into the Network.
• Organize actions in which several of these institutions are involved.
• Promote and develop initiatives to encourage visits to these centers and offer activities that respond to the demand for scientific and technical knowledge requested by the people of Madrid.
• Value the important scientific heritage preserved in Madrid's public universities.

The information network of museums and science centers in the Community of Madrid includes at the same time large Museums and Science Centers belonging to different institutions, as well as museums and scientific collections of Madrid's public universities. All of them are aimed at disseminating scientific knowledge.
