UC3M | Perceptual possibilities: interacting with body transformation devices

Our physical body is the interface between us and the world around us. The way we perceive our body, its appearance, configuration and motor capabilities determine our behavior, emotions and social functioning. Our multidisciplinary team links knowledge from the fields of neuroscience, interaction design, computer science and psychology to design sensory-body feedback devices. These support and create personalized body-transforming experiences with the primary goal of promoting better health and well-being in a variety of populations and contexts. In this open lab visit, aimed at the general public (over 14 years of age), we invite you to feel and transform the experience of your body through our different interactive devices. Our design approach is body-based and participatory. Your feedback will contribute to the development and use of our prototypes. This activity is carried out in the framework of BODYinTRANSIT, a scientific project led by Prof. Ana Tajadura-Jiménez and funded by the European Research Council through an ERC Consolidator Grant from the European Union's Framework Programme for Research and Innovation, Horizon 2020 (GA 101002711).
