In this science outreach activity (specifically aimed at researchers, entrepreneurs and businessmen) we will explore how the digital transformation of European society can be achieved by developing technologies in an environment of trust. Focusing on the interdisciplinary TRUST project, we will analyze the crucial role of trust in the use of digital technologies, such as blockchain and artificial intelligence. Participants will learn how these technologies can improve transparency, inclusivity, energy efficiency and planning of smartcities. In addition, the activity will offer practical guidance on how small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and research institutions can leverage these technologies to create new business and trade opportunities. Through interactive presentations and case studies, attendees will discover how to facilitate the transition from a B2B to a P2P economy and promote resilient infrastructures, paving the way for a more secure and reliable digital society. This activity takes place in the framework of TRUST (Digital TuRn in Europe: Strengthening relational reliance through Technology), a Marie Sklodowska-Curie RISE-Research and Innovation Staff Exchange scientific project funded by the European Union (GA 101007820).
