About me

Full Professor of History of Law and Institutions at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M) and director of the Department of Criminal Law, Procedural Law and History of Law at UC3M. He is director of the journal CIAN (Scopus Q1) and president of the Spanish Society of History of Law. He has been a visiting professor and has made numerous research stays in the United States, Germany and Italy, among other countries. His main lines of research focus on family and inheritance law, constitutional law and codification, civil liability and procedural doctrine. He has been principal investigator in several national competitive projects, including, currently, a project aimed at reconstructing the origins and evolution of the process of shaping legal disciplines. He is principal investigator of the team of UC3M researchers participating in the TRUST Project: digital TuRn in EUrope. His main hobbies are traveling, sports and cinema.
