In this activity, people will learn how to isolate microorganisms from different types of environmental samples, such as water, soil or vegetables, for further study. In addition, different methods used to identify if the microorganism is resistant to antibiotics will be shown and explained. All of this is based on the cultivation and growth techniques of microorganisms in selective media, the same techniques used to determine the water quality, both for drinking and bathing.
Activity carried out in collaboration with the following projects and grants:
- Contract financed by the European Union – Next Generation EU, through the “Investigo Program”, within the framework of the Recovery and Resilience Mechanism of the European Union.
