María Blanca Sánchez Martínez
About me
PhD in molecular biology from the UAM and currently a researcher at the IMDEA Water institute. During my career as a researcher, I have focused to study the mechanisms of antibiotic resistant in microorganisms. In IMDEA Water the focus of my work is identify and study the antibiotic resistant bacteria that can be found in the environment, such as water, and how its contamination, related to human activity, affects the bacteria and their resistance to antibiotics. In my free time I like to read, take pictures, especially the nature, and see new places. I have recently developed a new hobby, crochet.
