About me

Hello, hello! My name is Claudia, and I’m 28 years old. I’m a biologist, which means I spend my days discovering amazing things about life, animals, and how our bodies work. I've always loved animals (when I was little, I wanted to be a vet so I could take care of them all!), so I decided to study Biology. Then, I did a Master’s in Microbiology (yes, that means looking at tiny creatures under a microscope!), and now I’m doing a PhD in Pharmacology.
What’s a PhD, you ask? Well, it’s a bit like being a science detective! I do research to help people with a disease called ALS. I work with cells and mice in a laboratory, trying to discover what goes wrong in the body and testing new medicines that might help. Every little experiment I do is one small step toward finding a cure!
But my life isn't just about microscopes and lab coats…
I also have a very special friend: my tiny dog Molly! She’s a chihuahua, super small (smaller than a water bottle!), with big ears and a huge personality. She makes me laugh all the time with her silly antics and is definitely the boss at home even if I pretend I’m in charge.
I love nature: fields, trees, the smell of the ground after it rains. In my free time, I enjoy walking outside, breathing fresh air, and listening to birds. Oh and I must confess… I LOVE taking naps! A little nap after lunch is one of life’s greatest pleasures.
Wanna know my favorite animals? Penguins, monkeys, and orcas! Penguins walk funny and look like they’re wearing little tuxedos, monkeys are super smart and playful (just like some kids!), and orcas are so amazing I could watch them swim for hours.
I really enjoy sharing what I know with other people especially curious kids like you! I believe science can be exciting and fun, and that we all have a bit of explorer inside us. So if you like animals, the human body, our planet, or nature’s mysteries, I think we’re going to get along great!
See you soon!
