About me

I am currently an M2 technician attached to a project at the National Museum of Natural Sciences (MNCN-CSIC).
I graduated in Biological Sciences at the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM) and completed my Master's degree in Zoology at the same university. My main areas of interest are Biodiversity Conservation and Ethology and my research activity, since a few years ago, has been mainly related to entomodiversity, i.e. insect biodiversity. For the last 2 years I have been collaborating in the Entomology Collection of the National Museum of Natural Sciences (Madrid), organising and digitising the historical holdings of the collection, although with a special focus on diurnal lepidoptera (i.e. butterflies). During this period of time I have had the opportunity to collaborate in field sampling related to different national and international projects, as a laboratory and field technician.
I feel a special interest in scientific communication and dissemination, both live and through social networks. I sporadically collaborate with various national and local associations, giving talks and lectures, and I keep several personal digital dissemination channels active. My other interests include nature photography and music; as far as sport is concerned, I go hiking, cycling and paddle tennis.
