During the activity, we will demonstrate the procedure for measuring the noise produced by a jet using a microphone array and beamforming techniques. We will present our state-of-the-art facilities, including an anechoic chamber and our turbulent jet system for aeroacoustic studies. As well as the instrumentation and technology used for noise diagnostics and particle image velocimetry. The activity also provides an experience of working with lasers and the importance of protocols within the laboratory. In addition, we will discuss how we complement these studies with particle velocity imaging experiments to get a comprehensive and accurate view of noise sources - a very important aspect of this activity. This activity is carried out in the framework of JAMAICAM (Jet-noise diagnostics with Massive Acoustic Camera - Ref. TED2021-130909A-I00), a scientific research project led by the UC3M Department of Aerospace Engineering and funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation (MCIN/AEI/10.13039/501100011033) and the European Union (NextGenerationEU/PRTR).
