Ricardo Moreno Benavides is an Ecuadorian researcher at the Department of Aerospace Engineering of the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M). After graduating as a sound and acoustics engineer at the Universidad de Las Américas (UDLA - Ecuador), he continued his studies in the same branch of acoustic engineering by obtaining a master's degree from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM - Spain). Before joining the Experimental Aerodynamics Laboratory of UC3M, he was part of the Institute of Chemical and Physical Processes of the National Research Council of Italy, where he started his career as a researcher. He is currently pursuing a PhD in the field of aeroacoustics at UC3M. His studies are mainly focused on the diagnosis of jet-generated noise using microphone arrays and beamforming techniques. His free time is spent with music friends playing drums, and playing soccer.
