About me

Professor in the Department of Economics, Business, and International Relations at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Communication, Universidad Europea de Madrid.

My research focuses on 19th and 20th-century international relations across the Atlantic, particularly in the Caribbean, where rising and declining imperial powers competed with one another through diplomacy rather than warfare. These international rivalries were primarily driven by geostrategic, economic, and commercial interests. Before my current position, I worked at the General Archive of the Nation in the Dominican Republic as a research coordinator, and I have taught at IE University and UNIR, both in Madrid, as well as at Universidad Iberoamericana, Universidad Católica Santo Domingo, and Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra, all located in Santo Domingo, the capital of the Dominican Republic.

My hobbies include art, reading, writing, music, cinema, theater, traveling, swimming, and hiking.
