Máximo Morales Céspedes
About me
Máximo Morales Céspedes (Valdepeñas, C. Real, 1986) obtained a degree in Telecommunications Engineering and a PhD in Multimedia and Communications, both from the Carlos III University of Madrid (UC3M), in 2010 and 2015, respectively. His research focuses on wireless communications systems, WiFi, 4G, 5G, and LiFi. In this regard, his work in the development of visible light communications through LED lighting, also known as LiFi, is particularly noteworthy. This type of communication modulates visible light so that the variation in intensity is not perceived by the human eye. Due to the security provided by transmission through visible light, it is of great interest in scenarios where radio frequency communications are not viable, such as tunnels, mines, hospitals, or oil plants. On a personal level, Máximo's hobbies include traveling and music, especially playing the drums in his band DamnatioMemoriae. He also enjoys cooking.
