Matteo Guaita

About me

Matteo Guaita is currently completing his PhD at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, working within the Plasma & Electric Propulsion group. His doctoral research focuses on the simulation of plasma plumes, with the goal of understanding how these plumes are influenced by the experimental conditions in which they are measured. This work contributes to improving the accuracy of experiments that support electric propulsion technologies, which are critical for future space exploration.
Before starting his PhD, Matteo obtained a master’s degree in Space Engineering from the Politecnico di Milano in Italy. Outside of research, he enjoys backpacking and exploring new places, experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, and listening to the music of Albano (italian David Bisbal), a classic Italian singer who defeated the dinosaurs.
