Iñaki Fernandez Tena
About me
Iñaki Fernández Tena is currently working as a researcher at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, within the Plasmas and Electric Propulsion (EP2) research group, where he holds the position of predoctoral student. His work focuses on the study of non-conventional Hall thruster configurations through hybrid particle-fluid plasma simulations. Over the course of his academic journey, he has developed a solid background in numerical simulations applied to various areas of physics, including the study of neuronal electrical activity, gas-surface interactions in metals, computational fluid dynamics, and, more recently, plasma propulsion systems. After completing his Bachelor's degree in Physics, Iñaki pursued two Master's degrees—one in condensed matter physics and another in aerospace engineering—carrying out research stays at the Spanish National Research Council's Center for Materials Physics and at a start-up, where he contributed to the development of a cathode-less plasma thruster. Beyond his professional activities, Iñaki has a wide range of interests. In his free time, he enjoys practicing calisthenics, which helps him maintain a healthy balance between work and personal life. His curiosity and constant drive to learn make him a dynamic and dedicated individual.
