Nora Cueto Mendoza obtained her PhD in Experimental and Biosanitary Sciences: Applied Petrology and a Diploma of Advanced Studies in Petrology and Geochemistry from the University of Alicante. Her foundational training is in Geological Engineering from the Central University of Venezuela. She also completed her postdoctoral research thanks to a Margarita Salas contract for young doctors. She has undertaken seven research stays in the United Kingdom, Portugal, Spain, and Venezuela. Currently, she is a Scientific Researcher at the Institute of Geosciences, IGEO (CSIC-UCM). Her project, funded by the CSIC's Momentum Programme, applies artificial intelligence techniques to heritage conservation.
