About me

Adjunct Professor of Anatomy and Physiology of the Human Body in the Department of Pharmacy and Nutrition, Faculty of Biomedical Sciences and Health.
He holds a degree in Biochemistry from the Autonomous University of Madrid (2004). He holds a PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, and Biomedicine (2009) from the same university. He completed his doctoral thesis in the laboratory of Dr. Ana Guadaño Ferraz at the Alberto Sols Biomedical Research Institute, a joint CSIC-UAM center. He studied the role of thyroid hormones in hippocampal neurogenesis and its relationship with learning and memory in adult rats.
He completed three postdoctoral fellowships. His scientific output includes 14 articles, two book chapters, and numerous publications and presentations at national and international conferences in the field of neuroscience. Having been recognized with two six-year research periods (ANECA) and accredited as a Contract Professor and Professor at a Private University, he currently coordinates the subjects of Structure and Function of the Human Body in the Pharmacy Degree, and Structure and Function of Systems I (Nervous System and Endocrine System) in the Biomedicine Degree. He has participated in various teaching innovation projects within the University, as well as in scientific outreach projects.

He enjoys reading, cinema, and nature in general. He plays various racket sports and is a member of the Madrid Tennis Federation.
