I am a Full Professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology of the Faculty of Chemical Sciences. Viruses are my field of interest, specifically, the proteins found in their envelope and the one that forms the structure that encloses the genetic material of the virus. I obtain them using genetic engineering techniques and characterize them structurally with spectroscopic techniques. Apart from research, I am also dedicated to the dissemination of chemistry and as hobbies, I practice swimming, I read and, lately, I have become addicted to the TV series.
