About me

My area of expertise is Spanish literature: textual philology, history of the Spanish, French and Latin languages and literature; medieval historiography, medieval reception of classics, history of translation. In addition to my work on the past of Spain and the European countries of the Mediterranean area, I am greatly interested in all aspects of rural culture (especially language) and folklore (music, song and dance). I am passionate about medieval music and architecture. I am also trained in stone carving (collaboration in the restoration of ancient buildings and a course on stereotomy and stone carving at the Polytechnic University of Madrid and the University of San Pablo, CEU).
