Marta Cerezo is a Professor of English and eaches Medieval and Renaissance English Literature at the UNED. Her main area of research is the critical reception of Shakespeare’s work, particularly in religious commemorative contexts. She is currently the principal investigator of the research project “Shakespeare and His Religious Re-readings: Text, Reception and Performance”, funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities. She is also editor of Sederi Yearbook, the journal of the Spanish and Portuguese Society for English Renaissance Studies, and principal investigator of the research group ELSSO (English Literary Studies in Society). She has published in high impact international journals such as Shakespeare, English Studies, Critical Survey or Religion and Literature and in academic publishers including Cambridge University Press, Bloomsbury, and Routledge.
