Marina Robas Mora

About me

My name is Marina Robas and I am a colleague in the area of Microbiology. For the last 5 years I have been teaching this subject in the bilingual programs of the School of Pharmacy. Although I teach general Microbiology for many degrees, such as Pharmacy, Medicine and Dentistry, among others, my specialty is Microbial Biotechnology. I am currently a researcher in the Environmental Microbial Ecology Research Group at USP-CEU. This is because my career at CEU goes back several years, when I first studied the Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Sciences and then the PhD in the same classrooms and laboratories in which I teach now. That is why CEU is for me much more than the place where I carry out my professional career; it is an environment in which I have spent much of my life, learning from professors who are now my colleagues (and from whom I continue to learn) and now teaching everything I know about the exciting world of microorganisms to new generations. Because, from my point of view, the best way to transmit knowledge is to excite the student and make him/her a subject of his/her own academic experience.
