About me

I have been a professor of Pharmacology at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the San Pablo CEU University since 1995. My interest in the study of the pharmacological activity of new substances was awakened when I started my professional career in an R&D center of the pharmaceutical industry, where I spent 4 years. Later, I joined the University, where I helped to create the Pharmacology department of the faculty with my colleagues. Here, my interest in science and research has grown, focusing on the field of neurosciences and more specifically, in the study of behavioral alterations produced by different drugs of abuse, results that were partly collected in my doctoral thesis. In our Faculty I continue to maintain the same main line of research, although contemplating different aspects so important in our current society, such as the alterations that drugs of abuse can cause by early onset of consumption. On the other hand, my teaching activity allows me to enjoy year after year the personal and professional enrichment that comes from the contact with our students. When I hang up my profession, I love painting, gardening, cinema, the company of my children and long walks with my dog.
