About me

I am Iris Montero Muñoz, Doctor in Biology from the Autonomous University of Madrid and postdoctoral researcher at the Royal Botanical Garden-CSIC. My research focuses on the taxonomic, systematic and biogeographic study of megadiverse groups of tropical plants and their conservation. Currently, I focus my work on Madagascar, one of the most diverse islands on the planet, and to date we have described 15 species new to science. In addition to plants and science, my main hobbies are basketball and creative writing (short stories and short stories). I also don't leave video games aside.
