Ángel García Bodelón

About me

I am Ángel García Bodelón. I currently work in the research group "Hidden Biodiversity: Evolution, Ecology and Conservation" at the Royal Botanical Garden-CSIC, thanks to a Youth Guarantee contract. I participate in projects on biodiversity, phylogenetics and ecology of protists, especially the Arcellinida group; and soon I will start my doctoral thesis. I am an environmentalist specialized in the conservation, functioning and management of ecosystems, with a particular interest in the microbial world. I obtained my degree in Environmental Sciences at the University of León and then obtained a master's degree in Biodiversity, Functioning and Management of Ecosystems at the University of the Basque Country. Among my hobbies and interests I would highlight mountain getaways, soccer, going to bars, or socio-political issues.
