I hold a PhD in Biology from the Autonomous University of Madrid. My research focuses on the taxonomic, systematic, and biogeographical study of megadiverse groups of tropical plants and their conservation. I currently focus my work on continental Africa and the islands of the Western Indian Ocean (including Madagascar). To date, we have described 20 species new to science. My hobbies include basketball and creative writing.
