Andrea Ianiro is a full professor in the Department of Aerospace Engineering at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M). He obtained his PhD in Aerospace Engineering from the Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II in 2012. His research focuses on the experimental study of turbulent flows, both with and without heat transfer. To interpret the complex data obtained from his experiments, he often uses statistical tools and artificial intelligence techniques.
Andrea is currently the principal investigator of several projects, most of which are focused on the prediction and control of turbulent flows.
In his free time, he enjoys reading, outdoor sports (and occasionally the gym), and good food. He’s also a big fan of anime.
