Tomás Martínez Cortés is a Data Scientist and Computer Vision expert. He holds a Ph.D. in Deep Learning and Computer Vision (Cum Laude) from Carlos III University of Madrid, where he currently serves as a researcher and professor in the Department of Signal Theory and Communications. Tomás has spearheaded various cutting-edge projects, such as developing AI systems for road surveillance (SmartPilot), creating assistive robotics for mobility-impaired individuals (Companion), and leading innovation in rescue robotics (Telerescuer). His technical expertise spans designing and training advanced Deep Neural Networks, multimedia systems, and hardware-software integration for distributed and embedded platforms.
