Ruth Pérez received her Ph.D. in Chemistry from the Autónoma University of Madrid. She currently leads the Biological Systems Chemistry group at CIB Margarita Salas (CSIC). Her research focuses on the interdisciplinary interface between Chemistry and Biology, exploring how dynamic chemical systems function in biological environments to modulate proteins and nucleic acids. She carried out postdoctoral research at the University of Cambridge (UK) and Stanford University (USA) as a Fulbright Scholar. She is supported by a European Research Council (ERC) Consolidator Grant for the Chem2Sense and participates in the ERA4HEALTH-funded NextNano4Cancer Project.
