Bruno Gonzalez-Zorn
About me
Bruno is Professor at the Complutense University of Madrid and Director of ARU, Antimicrobial Resistance Unit, a multi-disciplinary laboratory he founded in 2005 bringing One Health research to the centre of antibiotic resistance research. He is a WHO Antibiotic Resistance Advisor to the One Health CIA group on human-critical antibiotics. Gonzalez-Zorn also holds an honorary doctorate from the University for Development Studies in Ghana and, as of this month, is an advisor to One Health of the European Public Health Association. He has received several awards related to antibiotic resistance, and works in microbiology from a genomic point of view, collaborating in the plans to fight against antibiotic resistance in Spain, as well as in America, Africa and Asia.
