Manuel Sánchez Ruíz
About me
After graduating in Biological Sciences at the Complutense University of Madrid, I devoted myself to the study of insects, specializing in taxonomy and systematics of the family Curculionidae.
The management of the enormous amount of names and specimens involved in the study of a hyperdiverse group diverted me to documentary and computer management of large amounts of data, taking me from field sampling and laboratory work to databases and computers.
Currently I work at the National Museum of Natural Sciences (MNCN-CSIC), in the Computer Management and Digitization Unit (UGID), a support unit for the management of collections.
