I hold a PhD in geology. My studies have focused on the understanding of the landscape, its formation, evolution and current change. It is precisely this most recent change that has caught my attention. But, wait..., does the landscape change? Yes, it does. In particular, I have focused on the change that occurs within the river ecosystem, from a physical point of view, i.e. how the shapes of the river, its sediment, or the amount of water flowing through them, change. What produces these changes? Mainly two agents, the human being, who uses the water for consumption or irrigation, builds near the river, etc., and climate change, which modifies the amount of rain, snow or storms that feed the water in the rivers.
My main hobbies have always been sports and nature. Or if possible, a combination of both. Skiing, canyoning, athletics, climbing, hiking.
