Mario Ricciardi Serra

About me

I am a neurologist, graduated from the National University of the Litoral (Santa Fe, Argentina) and the Fleni Institute (Buenos Aires, Argentina). For two years, I was part of the Cognitive and Behavioral Disorders Diagnostic Unit at the ACE Alzheimer Center Barcelona. I currently work at the Clinical Evaluation Platform of Fundación CIEN and am pursuing my PhD at the Autonomous University of Madrid. My research focuses on the comprehensive characterization of Cerebral Amyloid Angiopathy in Alzheimer's disease, investigating the correlation between MRI and pathological anatomy, as well as searching for new blood biomarkers for earlier diagnosis. Outside of my professional life, I enjoy spending time with my dog, Creta. I am passionate about nature, traveling, and discovering new places. I also enjoy activities such as cycling, swimming, running, and exploring more unusual sports like surfing and surf skating. To relax, there's nothing better than reading a good book with a mate in hand.
