About me

I was born in Neuquén, a city located in the Argentinean Patagonia, and when I turned 18 I moved to Buenos Aires to start my university studies. I have a degree in Biotechnology and Industrial Engineering, and my field of research focuses on the development of bioprocesses, that is, the efficient use of microorganisms or cells for the production of valuable compounds for humanity. Throughout my career, I have participated in the development of processes for the production of biofuels, therapeutic proteins, recombinant enzymes and human vaccines, using different types of yeast, bacteria, mammalian cells and insect cells.
Currently, I am a Predoctoral Researcher at the Biotechnological Processes Unit of the Institute IMDEA Energy, where I work with the aim of developing and optimising more sustainable processes for the production of jet fuel from various types of organic waste.
Outside the lab, I enjoy outdoor activities, listening to music, reading and cooking for my loved ones. Whenever I can, I return to Neuquén to visit my family.
