Stefano Discetti is a full professor in the Aerospace Engineering research group at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M). He received his PhD degree in aerospace engineering from the Universitá degli Studi di Napoli Federico II in 2013. His main research interests are in the area of experimental aerodynamics, in particular in optical measurement techniques of turbulent flows and methods to model and control their behaviour. He is principal investigator of the NEXTFLOW - Next-generation flow diagnostics for control project, funded by the European Research Council in the framework of the prestigious Starting Grant, in which he develops new tools for measuring turbulent flows using artificial intelligence methods. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family, travelling and hiking.
