Marcio is a mechanical engineer, born in Brazil. He graduated in Brazil in Mechanical Engineering at the Universidade Federal Fluminense, in Volta Redonda, and obtained his MSc in Mechanical Engineering at the Universidade Federal de Santa Maria, in Santa Maria. Currently, he is a PhD candidate at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M), where he is researching the ductile behaviour of Functionally Graded Metals in the Nonlinear Solid Mechanics group. Besides his passion for engineering, Marcio is also a black belt in Jiu-Jitsu, with more than 12 years of practice.
