Collaborators

Augmented reality glasses, helmets with thermal cameras, sensors to monitor the cognitive load of rescuers in adverse conditions, etc. Come and try some of these devices at the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM) and participate in interactive activities to learn about technological tools that improve the operational capacity and safety of emergency personnel in adverse conditions. UPM researchers in collaboration with SUMMA 112 of the Community of Madrid, will present the objectives and results of the European project RESCUER. Two workshops will be offered: one on improving vision in adverse conditions such as smoke, darkness, etc., thanks to artificial intelligence that allows the detection of objects. And a second workshop where specialized systems for monitoring the health of rescuers will be tested, capable of tracking their vital signs and constantly evaluating their cognitive state in order to prevent risky behavior and always operate in optimal psychophysical conditions. Science and technology at the service of the rescue teams of the future.
