About me
I am a biologist and hold a PhD in molecular biosciences from the Autonomous University of Madrid. I have conducted my research in microbiology laboratories, starting at the Severo Ochoa Center for Molecular Biology where I completed my thesis studying the thermophilic bacterium Thermus thermophilus, continuing at the University of Alicante where, together with my team, I discovered new bacterial systems for genome modification, and finally at the Margarita Salas Center for Biological Research where I investigate, as part of the Mi-Hy project of the microbial systems and protein engineering laboratory, the ability of microorganisms to produce electricity and how to enhance it. Additionally, I have taught microbiology at both the Autonomous University of Madrid and the University of Alicante. In my free time, I enjoy traveling and playing sports.
