Fernando Useros López
About me
I am Fernando Useros López. I am doing my doctorate at the botanical garden on a very particular group of amoebas that have a kind of shell, like snails. This group is freshwater, but we have found species living in salty lagoons (such as the salt flats of Ocaña, in Toledo, or the Andean salt flats of Chile) and we are studying the diversity that exists in these lagoons, their ecology, evolution and adaptations to the salinity. Beyond science, my hobbies are going to the countryside to hike or photograph bugs, reading, traveling, and board and role-playing games.
