About me

Pilar Amo Ochoa is professor of inorganic chemistry at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. She teaches in the chemistry degree, in the master's degree in applied chemistry and directs TFGs, TFMs and doctoral theses researching on coordination compounds with optoelectronic properties that can be useful as downconverters, sensors, smart materials and/or heterogeneous photocatalysts, to increase the performance of photovoltaic modules, valorize CO2 or treat polluted water among other applications. She directs a chair (IRSST-UAM) focused on the prevention of occupational hazards from the point of view of green chemistry and circular economy and participates assiduously in scientific outreach work.
