About me
I have a PhD in Ecology from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, specializing in the Microbial Ecology of extreme environments, mainly hyperarid, acidic and polar areas, and their relationship with Astrobiology. Scientifically, I am very interested in the role of microorganisms in soil and lagoon sediment ecosystems to discover the importance they have in the dynamics of the environments they inhabit. To do this, I combine molecular ecology work with bioinformatics.
Outside of work I love going for walks in the countryside (especially in the Sierra Norte de Madrid) and cycling. And, of course, enjoying all the products we have thanks to microorganisms: yogurts, cheeses, beers, wines...
