About me

Óscar Gálvez is a University Professor in the Department of Interdisciplinary Physics of the UNED and Principal Investigator of the Infrared and Raman Spectroscopy Research Group and works in the study of ice and aggregates of atmospheric and astrophysical interest, and of new materials (polymers or materials two-dimensional) by different experimental techniques (IR spectroscopy, Raman, mass spectrometry, electrochemistry, TPD) and theoretical calculations (ab initio calculations in molecules, clusters and solids).
Regarding his dissemination activity, he belongs to the scientific theatre group TeatrIEM since 2014, representing different works with scientific themes. In addition, he has participated in numerous FECYT dissemination projects, both with the theatre group and with the development of the electromagnetism experiment kits (Faraday kit), and optics (Fresnel kit), presenting them in different editions of the Science Week, European Night of Researchers, International Day of Light, Science Fairs and Conferences on the Teaching of Physics
