About me

Lecturer at the Faculty of Pharmacy of San Pablo CEU University, in Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Nutrition and Biomedical Engineering degrees. I teach the subjects of Biology, Plant Physiology and Plant Culture In Vitro Techniques, as well as supervision of Final Degree Projects. Thanks to an FPI-INIA grant, I completed my PhD on the inoculation of endophytic and rhizosphere bacteria that promote plant growth, in order to improve the phytoremediation of contaminated soils. During the thesis, I carried out several research stages at the Center for Environmental Sciences (Hasselt University), where I carried out the isolation of bacterial strains from soil, rhizosphere, root and stem (endophytes); the genetic and phenotypic characterization of bacteria that promote plant growth in contaminated soils; the evaluation of endophyte colonization; the effect of inoculation of the bacterial consortium on the growth of root hairs, as well as the analysis of the metal content extracted by plants in real contaminated soils. I am currently evaluating the effect of inoculation of different bacterial strains that promote plant growth, and the effect of UV radiation, on the physiology of strawberry plants, as well as on the production and quality of the fruits. I love nature, cinema, traveling, and above all enjoying with my family and friends.
