Luz Alonso Dasques
About me
Developing her PhD student in the Centre of Metabolomics and Bioanalysis (CEMBIO) at the Faculty of Pharmacy (CEU-San Pablo University).
Luz Alonso Dasques studied Food Science because she loves and adores eating. During her university years, she had the opportunity to get started in the field of Analytical Chemistry. Later, she completed a Master in Industrial and Environmental Biotechnology because she believes that the future of food and society lies in biotechnology. Alongside her master, she had the great opportunity to be hired as a research assistant at the Blas Cabrera Institute of Physical Chemistry (IQF-CSIC), where she had the great opportunity to expand and increase her knowledge in the following techniques: Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry. Currently, she is very lucky to be able to develop her doctoral thesis at Centre of Metabolomics and Bioanalysis (CEMBIO). Her main line of research aims to find patterns that allow the differentiation between fertile and infertile men, as well as to find patterns that can discern between men who have prostate cancer and those who do not.
Luz Alonso Dasques is very passionate about food and sports. She enjoys both eating and cooking. Whenever she can, she likes experimenting with new recipes and flavors in the kitchen. Additionally, she is a sports enthusiast with a particular fondness for soccer and tennis, which she practices regularly. Running is another one of her favorite activities, to which she often dedicates some time to it to stay in shape and enjoy nature.
