Developing her PhD student in the Centre of Metabolomics and Bioanalysis (CEMBIO) at the Faculty of Pharmacy (CEU-San Pablo University).
Constanza Fernández Hernández studied Biochemistry in the University of Granada, because of her interest in how biological organisms worked at their chemistry level. Subsequently, she continued her studies with a Master in Chemistry Science and Technology in Complutense of Madrid University, focusing on the instrumental and analytical field. Currently, she is working on her doctoral thesis at the Center of Excellence and Metabolomics in Bioanalysis (CEMBIO), focused on the research of new biomarkers and their validation in kids with kidney transplantation that were treated with immunosuppressant tacrolimus, with the aim to study their different response to the drug. In addition, she is participating in other projects such as MOIR consortium founded by the Community of Madrid focusing on the study of insulin resistance. The main objective of science should be to transmit our knowledge to society and improve the quality of life of the people, as part of this objective, some of its research efforts are focused on the translation to the clinic and scientific dissemination.
Constanza Fernández Hernández likes spending her free time with her friends. In addition, she likes science fiction, cinema and reading. However, what he enjoys the most is having the possibility of getting lost in her car, enjoying driving.
