About me

I am an Assistant Professor with a PhD in the Department of Cell Biology at the Complutense University of Madrid. I teach Histology to students of Medicine and Physiotherapy.
In research my main topic is the study of human genetic variability and how the genetics of the individual modulates the response to different types of cancer treatment.
I love scientific communication, and for years I have been part of the team at Ciencia y Vida – Scicomm, an initiative dedicated to bringing scientific knowledge to society in an accessible and understandable way (https://www.cienciayvida.science).
I am passionate about radio and cinema. In my free time I like to travel with friends. I also love reading, walking in nature, and enjoying in the kitchen mixing ingredients.
