Dayrene Frómeta
About me
Dayrene Frómeta Fonseca is a PhD student at IMDEA Networks Institute in Madrid, Spain, and a recipient of the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Innovative Training Networks grant for the ENLIGHT'EM project.
She received her Engineering degree in Telecommunications and Electronics from the Technological University of Havana, Cuba, in 2015 and her MSc in Communication Systems from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 2018.
Her research interests include Light Fidelity (LiFi) and Radio Frequency communication technologies for battery-free IoT applications, as well as the application of Machine Learning techniques to improve the performance of wireless communication systems.
In addition to her academic activity, she is an entrepreneur and co-founder of the startup LiFi4Food, where she plays a key role as Chief Technology Officer (CTO).
She enjoys cooking, travelling and listening to music, and her hobbies are crocheting, sewing and skateboarding.
