UC3M | Visit to Porosityc Park

Professors José Antonio Rodríguez Martínez and Guadalupe Vadillo Martin from the UC3M Nonlinear Solid Mechanics (NSM) group managed to make their dreams of studying metal pores come true and create a theme park with them. Before opening it to the public, they want to invite a group of eminent people to test the feasibility of the project and the possible effect that this park could have on a greener world. The research carried out by the NSM group will be presented through this virtual visit to a theme park, where you will discover the mysteries of the fascinating world of printed materials. We will show how materials deform and break under extreme conditions, such as high-speed impacts. Attendees will have the opportunity to see a virtual recreation of the microstructure of a printed metallic material.
