About me

I am a Pharmacist graduated from the Complutense University of Madrid with a Master in Microbiology and Parasitology Research and Development, specializing in quality and safety (UCM). For two years I participated in ‘MicroMundo’, a citizen science project that invites high school students to discover new antibiotics from soil samples and thus promote scientific culture in schools and institutes throughout Spain. I was also part of a podcast called 'Esto va de micro' in which we did informal interviews with scientists from all over Spain. In them they told us about the interesting research projects they were involved in and also talked about their hobbies outside the laboratory, in order to bring the figure of the scientist closer to society.
Currently, I am working at IMDEA Water as a Research Assistant in the laboratory of physicochemical analysis and water chromatography, in order to analyze the quality of different types of water.
As for my hobbies, I love to spend my weekends hiking or traveling. Also, in my free time I enjoy listening to music and cooking.
