#World Oceans Day: Plastic hunters, understanding the environmental challenge of microplastics

This activity will be focused on the emerging environmental challenge of microplastic pollution. For this purpose, the activity will be devided in three parts: i) a general description of what plastics and microplastics are. The difference between different polymers found in our daily life and their physical and chemical properties will be explained; ii) an activity focused on plastic type identification and separation and iii) a visual workshop will be held to separate and identify microplastics in soil.
