We often read that the dinosaurs disappeared 65 million years ago, that a sea covered half of the Iberian Peninsula 150 million years ago, or that Madrid lay on the equator 300 million years ago. But how can scientists be so sure? Are these measurements really that precise? In just 20 minutes, we will understand how geologists date rocks and why we know what Earth and Madrid looked like millions of years ago.
