Stefano Discetti is a professor in the Aerospace Engineering research group at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M). He earned his PhD in Aerospace Engineering from the Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II in 2013. His main research interests lie in the field of experimental aerodynamics, particularly in optical measurement techniques for turbulent flows and methods for modeling and controlling their behavior. He is the principal investigator of the project NEXTFLOW – Next-generation flow diagnostics for control, funded by the European Research Council through the prestigious Starting Grant program. In this project, he develops new tools to measure turbulent flows using artificial intelligence methods. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and hiking.
